Oscar contradicting himself in interview?

When Oscar quit againts Manny Pacquiao his excuse was because Pacquiao does not hit hard enough for a KO... His own words seem contradictory though and I quote,

"Luckily he doesn’t hit hard. Obviously, if he would’ve hit hard, he would have knocked me out with no problem."

"I was hoping he would knock me out."

Those statements are very contradictory... He was thankful Pac did not hit hard saying that he was "lucky" in that regard, yet he was unlucky, hoping Pacquiao woulda had enough power to knock him out... WTF??? Can you say excuses....
