Id really like to know who has fought better competition in the past 3 years than Cotto? Yeah Torres, Malignaggi, Quintana, Judah, Mosley, and Margarito were all bums. Your a ****ing idiot.Comment

I don't know, but days before the fight people were claiming that Jennings was gonna give Cotto a fight and possibly knock him out- after the fight, he was completely overmatched and never stood a chance.
Margarito is the only guy that I have seen hit Cotto like that; he has been hit before don't get me wrong, but not with the sustained blows he suffered from Margs. In my opinion, Cotto is not a boxing GOD or whatever, but he is not overrated by any stretch of the imagination.
As for Hatton taking out Cotto...Hatton has the power and speed as does Cotto. Hatton would most certainly try to tie Cotto up all night with both of those guys throwing to the body so much it would be a great fight.
I take Cotto just because I think he could hurt Hatton in close. JMOComment

Hatton knows he can't fight effectively above 140, and I hope he stays where he is after the Pac fight, regardless of the result.
I don't think Pac carries enough of his power up to Welter and nor does Roach. I hope he fights at either Jnr. Welter or Lightweight after the Hatton fight. Money isn't everything.
Hey Sorry I deleted the post because I quoted the wrong portion but here it is.Comment

Whether you are rated in the P4P lists is simply based on imagining what would happen if all the fighters could be magically resized and if their power relative to their weight was resized with them, then who would beat whom. Totally different things. Bob Foster is rated by The Ring as the 17th most devastating P4P puncher of all time, yet all five heavyweights he fought beat him easily. Hagler was P4P #1 at one time, and is rated by many in the top 100 P4P fighters of all time, yet he only ever fought at one weight.
It's based on how well fighters perform at their or around their weight class.
It's not really about imaginary resizing them because the skills needed, the values placed on each skill, differ with weight class. The skills needed to be a good HW differ largely from those needed to be a good bantam (it doesnt work even speaking in reletive terms).Last edited by Hook; 02-23-2009, 08:48 PM.Comment
