Why all the hate for John Duddy??

Duddy isn't that great but I think he's actually managed to become underrated at this point. Not b/c he is particularly good but no one is giving him any credit whatsoever. Vanda and JCC Jr. fought life and limb. Outside of the 10th round, Duddy dominated the entire fight.. and with what seemed like ease.

He is from Manchester but I think I read somewhere he's of Irish decent.

I might be thinking of Tyson Fury - he's from Irish traveller stock. How would they like a 6'9 Irishman in New York, haha.

You can pretty much put Duddy in against any decent B fighter and have a war. Matt Vanda was probably a C plus kind of guy. Just one notch up from that and.....boom.

I think they tried that with Kevin McBride and got lucky once with Mike Tyson, then he got blown out and went back to whence he came.

I have no hate, I just don't think he's Championship material yet. Vanda scored way too much last night.
