clottey has a superb defense,but does not have that much activity to out worked cotto. because we all know cotto is not staying too much on the inside.

I also take Clottey to outwork Cotto. Clottey can take a great shot (12 rounds of Margarito's wrapped hands and never hurt once, not to mention Margarito threw a compubox record of punches in that fight). He can put pressure on Cotto and outpoint him by winning all the late rounds.

Cotto by competitive but clear decision. He'd land the more telling punches throughout and I could really see him opening up on Clottey with the body work. Something like 7-5/8-4.

People look at the Margarito fight with Clottey as a sign of Clottey's toughness and ability to take a shot. But Cotto fights a lot different than Margarito and hits you in spurts where your boy just starts breaking apart. He couldn't do that against Mosley, but Mosley was on his toes and moving around in a lot of the fight. Clottey is more of a stationary fighter and against Cotto that isn't the smartest thing to be.

Believe me,Clottey has what it takes to defeat Cotto.Im a fan of them both,but Clottey is a very big,tough welterweight!Clottey isnt avoided for no reason,that defence,the uppercut,and that jab,the massive frame,I know Cotto's heart is not going to give in,but his physical will!!

I don't think Cotto can stop Clottey, but I do think he can outpoint and outwork him. Clottey is a dangerous style match up for any welterweight, and his technical work is solid enough to beat Cotto as well. So I am not completely sure, but I think Cotto can possibly win.

Yeah I feel Clottey would be top notch.. but he wont do enough to win.
