Describe Kelly Pavlik as a fighter

Describe Kelly Pavlik as a fighter. I watched Pavlik last night and i was less than impressed, he seems to have overrated power and the only combination he has in his arsenal is a double jab+ right hand,jab+ left hook + right hand.

Im not hating on Kelly. I like Pavlik's aggressive style and his warriors mentality im just saying what is see though.

Pavlik's main asset is his toughness and consistency.

That does stick out quite a lot, he seems very Upright and stiff.

I watched Kelly's fights with Miranda, Zertuche and Taylor I on Friday - the version of Pavlik I saw last night was not quite the same.

Reminds me of Jeff Lacy before and after the Calzaghe fight. Something isn't there anymore.

I dont like the new cautious approach he is adopting, it does not suit him.

He is going to need a more cautious style to protect himself from Abrahams power if they ever fight. Trying to go toe to toe with Arthur would be foolish. He got away with it with Miranda but his power wasn't as concussive.

I agree.

I think Pavlik would waste a lot of energy against Abrahams, because Kelly is not the most accurate fighter, and he does not have a good variety of punches to come through a tight defence like Abrahams.

He is workmanlike. His power is good enough to earn his opponent's respect, but he loses to anyone with great movement and a good chin. I still like him though.
