Did exactly what he was supposed to do to an outclassed fighter , hunted him down and took him out , its hard to KO a guy that wants no part of engagement so to catch him and put him away was a job well done , for such a solid puncher Cotto can really box which makes a pretty good package .

Cotto needs another confidence builder. He seemed a little tentative last night and while he did pick it up in the 3rd and 4th, I suspect he'll still be a bit tentative in his next bout. Is it just me or did he look slower than usual?

He was, but that's because he was fighting a different fight. Watch the Mosley, Gomez, Margarito fights... he was throwing quick, relatively powerful shots, that didn't necessarily have all the leverage required for maximum power, they were shots to take people out of their game, stun etc... That strategy didn't work with Margarito.

This new style is very poised, and those shots had the "thunk" sound to them, full power shots, with more leverage. His stance makes them slower, but far more powerful than the quick snappy shots that boggled Mosley but didn't do jack to Margarito. He was practicing his timing to deliver this shot I think. He could have "Alfonso'ed Jennings in three I think, but what use would that be, he needs to be more versatile. He needs to be able to deliver power shots to stronger guys like Margo, Clottey, Berto..
