I accept Pavlik is taking care of his mandatory in Rubio and he has been in some great fights against fantasic opposition in JT, Hopkins etc.

Other than AA who do you want him to fight? There's really no one out there. This division is no longer great. Hopkins moved up, JT moved up, and Winky is gone.

I don't get it. Maybe Sturm. Okay two guys that aren't huge names and there isn't great demand for him to fight. And maybe Paul Williams.

The mw division is thin right now. It's not his fault. If he moves up he gets his but kicked by Dawson and possibly Direll.

So glad i didn't pay for yesterday's event. Bob Arum is bad for his fighters and worse for the rest of them. He will drive talent out of boxing completely and we will be left with Duddy like talent and worse! We will have to grow used to fights dragging on and on and no KOs or very little KOs which will happen when some 20 year old fights a 50 year old, in which the 20 year old will get KTFO and Bob Arum will proceed to say he wasn't on his night and then pad his resume for another 2 years.

John Duddy is the match that needs to happen for Kelly. There is too much to lose by not fighting him next. Duddy has a bigger name than even Abraham. Duddy was able to box Vanda but he will have no other choice but to engage Kelly in a brutal battle for as long as it lasts. It is the guy with the biggest name, best style to make Kelly look good and it also the fight that is right up there at the top in terms of money to be made. All that with minimal risk.

Duddy fought on the same day, showed a new style that is improved even if it is not as exciting and he did not suffer a cut. If he lets Duddy drop to 154 and get beat there he lost out on a great opportunity.

For Duddy it also makes sense to take his shot against the best while still leaving him the option to drop down in weight. If he even makes a contest out of it he won't lose much luster on his name.

This is the fight for a rebuilding Kelly Pavlik in terms of hype. Some people even were saying it would be disasterous for him to be pushed by Rubio. Take the name, money and safe bet Kelly.
