  • Is Miguel back...Done...Or Verdict still out.

It's kinda hard not to get excited during the fight...Seeing Miguel back from the beating he took from Margs was enough to get my heart racing...

but now that we have had time to really contemplate what went down yesterday...Do you think...

    A. Miguel is back to Elite Form and the Loss and manner of loss has not efected him whatsoever...?

    B. did you think he was slow an ploddingand showed some visible effects from the Margo fight...?
    or
    C. the compition was so out matched that you can't reach a conclusion?

Let me know what you guys thought about Migs and where he stands in the WW mix up.

It's hard to say right now although I think he's more back than done.

      I think Cotto is back.

He's got his confidence back. His boxing skills haven't diminished, and above all, he has exactly what a champions mentality should be: He came to terms with the defeat (regardless of the controversy surrounding it, which takes a big man to put behind him), he undoubtedly never wants to feel like that again and it will motivate him to become gradually over time even better than he would have been had he remained undefeated.

id like to see him in with Mosley again, if Shane fights anywere near the level he fought against Margarito Cotto would get ****** out, im still in awe of Mosley`s performance, speed and power beats Cotto

I think he is definitely back.Sure Jennings was overmatched, but he is not a bad fighter.I was really impressed with Cotto, lets not forget that he would have been under enormous pressure to perform last night, and he did just that.It was a really good fight for him to feel his way back in.To me he looked just as good as ever, yes he was cautious at first, but he was coming off a bad loss and didnt really know what to expect from Jennings. His jab was particularly impressive, foot movement was good.No probs.Paul Williams is the only guy I could see giving him any trouble at welterweight, but i'm not sure if he is going to be able to keep yo-yoing between the weights for too much longer and stay effective at 147.Clottey and Berto would be fairly easy for him,and I cant see Moseley being a better fighter by the time they get round to fighting each other as moseley is 37 now.In short,he should be able to clean up here if he can fight the other champs.

He looked back anyway, excellent timing, sharp punching, quality speed and power, ruthless, cold and calculated!
There was no sign of him being done but i guess we wont know untill he gets his chin checked by a half decent puncher as Jennings cant crack much and barely landed

That's the best Cotto Ive seen in yrs, but the verdict will always be out.
