I agree, Williams would beat Pavlik.

He perhaps wouldn't beat the more aggressive Pavlik who fought Miranda and Taylor, but he'd beat the version of Kelly I saw tonight.

Rubio was standing there waiting for Pavlik to finish him off, but Kelly kept hesitating when he had him hurt, he didn't go for the kill like he did with Miranda and Taylor. If he couldn't knock down Rubio, he certainly will not be able to against the stronger, more durable Williams.

I think Pavlik is not psychologically the same since the Hopkins fight.

It would be a pretty interesting fight. Pavlik needs space to get off his best shots, and Williams really does his best work inside (although when he is able to fully extend he can get some nice pop also). They have very contrasting styles and love to throw leather, it could be a spectacular fight.

Kelly has 31ko's in 36 fights. I think's its safe to say he has good power, and include the fact he was the first fighter to stop Taylor and Miranda.

Your right,Defensively they are about even. The thing is in a 12 round fight Pavlik is going to be able to handle Williams power alot easier than Williams will be abe to handle his. Williams is not a devestating puncher, He has proved to have more pop than what we all thought but still nothing special in the power department.

By the way Williams has proven to have a world class chin at 147 but not at 160, Pavlik is one of the divisions best punchers and i don't think WIlliams will handle it the same as he handles it at the lower weights.

Pavlik throws alot of straight punches. He hits exponentially harder than anyone PW has ever faced. What will you say if Paul gets hit 1 clean shot in the first round and turns into Rubio? It could very well happen. Let's see what happens w/Winky who is already a bigger puncher than Williams has faced...
