that's the way Jhonny fights in all his fights

he's a slick boxer, he uses footwork and angles and he rarely goes toe to toe with anyone

My point exactly. He acts as if Gerry is impervious to Mexicans.

When they fight against each other they are so called warriors, but when fighting Pinoys, they're all of the sudden "slick" backpeddling counterpunchers...lol

It was not a good preparation for the JuanMa fight. Meraz ran all night and this is not JaunMa's style.

Gerry fought a good tune-up and bought all the rounds but still managed to be cautious. A slight cut even worried the ref It was good to have some rust shaken off coz Gerry is more of a boxer than a brawler. I doubt if Lopez would have some early "feeling-out" rounds and would attempt to slay Gerry from the get-go.

Mexican fanboys needs to shut up on Penalosa threads they havent stepped up the plate to face Gerry after the Gonzales fight.

How was that a "lucky " shot when he tried to land that punch from the opening bell?
