If Joe Calzaghe was American and black, would he be better respected?

Not only that but he would NEVER be accepted to claim anything other than being an unproved paper champion at LHW. I don't think a black american version of JC could exist simply because no one would put up with it. The press, the media and the fans would immediately kill any hype around him and if he persisted he would be forced to face very hard competition. Imagine Joe having to fight bigger opponents everytime and them being worldclass opponents. That's what everyone would demand of him had he been a minority.Comment

You got that ass backwards..lol
White fighters don't have to do **** but show-up..
Look at Joe...
Never has a fighter received so much praise for doing so very little.
And it's all because he's White.
The white US sports media isn't calling for a JOECOTT
Remember the Roycott??????????
Floyd Mayweather got stick for fighting a 34 Year old Del La Hoya(at 154 and Oscar's choice of gloves and ring size) Joe fought a totally SHOT Roy Jones and isn't getting nearly as much hate.
Calzhage even SHOW-BOATED the old Legend..he didn't show any class or respect..
AT LEAST Willie Wise had the class not to clown a shot Chavez..lol
Joe get's away with being an under-achieving ***** because he's a white guy.
You know it too..lolComment

Complete utter BULL****. Tell me of a black fighter who has beat a Kessler and a Lacy and on those 2 fights + an undefeated record gets the right to headline mega pay per views in which he is VERY FAVORED TO WIN. The mind set is the complete opposite, people and the media demand these black cats to fight the hardest opponents they possibly can so they can lose and people get thrills on that. The effect of that is every single black fighter who has a good record is a darn good fighter, with most latins as well. You can't find a black Sven Ottke or a black Joe Calzaghe. People tend to compare Calzaghe with Floyd Mayweather, another BS comparison, Floyd was a 5 weight classes world champion who was fighting undefeated p4p king chico corrales when he was only 23! You can't find anyone doing this nowadays, anyone. Where was Joe at 23 years of age? Probably further padding his record in the shadows (where people left him be putting no pressure over him) so he could pull a robbery in two fights against 2 40 year olds and be considered by some contract writers an ATG? What to say about that when you have Shane Mosley around, who at 37 is a welterweight champion (and will defend his belt)? This is where boxing gets unfair.Comment

Seeing as you've pussied out of answering, then maybe I ought to educate your little moron mind.
My #1 favourite fighter is Muhammad Ali.
The last time I checked, Muhammad Ali wasn't white and didn't come from London. Correct me if I'm wrong. :wank:Comment
