And Palivk is one dimensional just like Jeff Lacy(per example). He is doing a Floyd Mayweather.
Calzaghe is 2 years younger than RJJ and 6 years younger than Hopkins.

Calzaghe is 7 years older than kessler and 5 years older than Lacy.

Of the regular people he is supposed to have ducked he is 10 years older than Pavlik and Dawson.

Glen Johnson is and always has been only borderline world class as his 12 losses show.

Well done for showing how much of an idiot you are.

Why doesn't young age 26 Chad Dawson receive more criticism for fighting 40 year olds like Johnson and Tarver?

The same people who bash Joe, absolutely love Chad! Double standard?
Glen Johnson was Old himself when he KNOCKED OUT ROY JONES

Spot on. All about nationality. Because then Calzaghe would have fought some fighters known in US.

calz is closer to age with hopkins, rjj, tarver and johnson, but compared to their ring ages calz is the same age as Dawson.

calz never been in grueling wars against other very good boxers. calz only ever been in grueling wars because he fights down to the level of his competition.

bottom line, using the "age defense" is useless because calzaghe barely has any mileage at all, while all the other fighters his age are over-mileaged.

I agree, if he fought in the US he wouldnt be as protected.

but if he was black and american, he'd be hated more than he is now. he should count it a blessing he was protected in the UK and white.

Nah doesnt make a difference.. if he was American he would probably retire 43-3 or something, so wouldnt get as much hate for retiring undefeated + his resume would probably be better if he was American.

Black? nothing to do with it

                    That's a lot of bollocks.

Calzaghe has been through his share of wars, with Brewer, Kessler, Bika, Salem etc. He had an extensive amateur career as well.

He broken his hand several times, and he's not as fast now as he was against Lacy and before.

Joe is retiring because he knows he close to being shot.

He was never cut in any fight before Kessler and Hopkins, and was never down until age 32 against Mitchell. He's been down in two consecutive fights now. He's definitely past his prime.

Not sure we agree. What i meant was, that Calzaghe would have fought the same level of competition, but the fighters would be known and respected in the US and then so would Calzaghe.
