YOu wouldn't want to sue somebody and find out that the person you're suing plays golf every weekend with the judge would you? That's the point.
It made sense to me too, but I read is being a far greater scandal than Margarito. This is the California State Athletic Commission we're talking about here, acting on behalf of the State of California. Are they really this inept or corrupt?

If I got the facts straight, Goossen is upset because the CSAC arbitrator didn't sign or issue the decision? Well, DUH! You don't have to be a high-power lawyer to know that stinks. Give me a break. The guy who did the arbitration didn't issue the award? How is that even a 3-3 vote? It should be 6-0 in favor of Goossen. If the arbitrator didn't make the decision, who did?

And what's this about the attorney Plowman? How can any CSAC lawyer think it's ok to socialize with one party and exclude the other, DURING the hearing? Does it take a rocket scientist to figure out that Goossen would cry foul? He absolutely should. I'm reading this garbage through cyberspace and it's stinking up the room. That's how bad this stinks.

And Lopez, a commissioner, really? How could he have participated if he was Oscar's lawyer before? Do these people not have any scruples?

And what's with Schaefer showing up all day? Who told him it wasn't going to be a rubber stamp? Lopez? Plowman? Talk about a stench.

And don't get me started on Margarito. If he did anything wrong, he should be suspended. But where was CSAC at the time of the hand wrapping? Aren't they supposed to protect him too? If CSAC had done its job like Nevada did, the illegal pad wouldn't have touched Margarito's hand and only the trainer (who has admitted being the only one responsible), should have been suspended, not Margarito. CSAC can't punish Margarito because they failed to do their job.

Who is running CSAC? This is crazy.
