Britain's gold medallist from Beijing will make his professional debut on the same card as Frankie Gavin and Billy Joe Saunders on Saturday, February 28.
The mouth-watering bill at Birmingham's NIA will also include Matt Skelton and Prizefighter champion Martin Rogan battling it out for the Commonwealth Heavyweight title.
But all eyes will be on middleweight DeGale as he takes on Georgia's Vepkhia Tchilaia over four rounds and looks to fare better in the paid ranks than our last gold medallist, Audley Harrison.
Professional
"Obviously it's a totally different sport, but I've adapted well," he said.
"I said before I turned professional that the pro game would suit me and it does really, really suit me.
"I get more time to think, more time to pick my punches and I can't wait to show everyone how much it suits me."
Birmingham's Gavin will also be out to prove a point.
Considered a near-certainty for success in Beijing and Britain's brightest prospect, he was sent home after failing to make the lightweight limit.
He will make his professional bow at light-welterweight against George Kadaria.
Saunders will also be keen to impress after being suspended for 'lewd behaviour' in China and he starts his time in the paid ranks with a welterweight battle with Attila Molnar of Hungary.
One man who has already made his mark as a pro without an amateur background is heavyweight Skelton who makes the third defence of his Commonwealth belt against Belfast taxi driver Rogan, who shot to prominence by winning the first Prizefighter and then out-pointing Harrison in December.
DEGALE v TCHILAIA
GAVIN v KADARIA
