sorry to say, but cotto must meet those expectations.
Well it is obvious that he is in there because he's supposed to not represent any real danger. And yes, he is expected to win in a devastating manner. But, are we really supposed to drop on cotto based purely on when he stops jennings

not if he boxes well, and looks good. a ko is great, but to me means nothing at the end of the day unless the guy is a total stiff.

Not really. I mean, if Jennings doesn't put up much of a fight and is outworked, with Cotto being unable to pull the trigger against an outmatched Jennings, then yeah.

If Jennings (somehow) ends up fighting smart and better than most of us are expecting, then you have to give Jennings proper credit.

I don't know about you, but most of us here can't say anything good nor bad about Jennings since we haven't heard from him before, much less seen him.

At least with Gómez we knew what to expect more or less, with Jennings it's like.......we have to consult with the limeys and ask for their genuine opinion on what they think.

No it wont look bad, he wont be the first to go 12 rounds with Cotto if he does. If Cotto is flat, he loses, simple as that.

yes... and its arum's fault for setting the expectation so high by choosing a virtual unknown.

lets take juan diaz for instance... he got his ass whupped by campbell. instead of choosing a soft touch (like arum choosing jennings for cotto) diaz fought katsidis. diaz won and now his stock is only a little lower than before the campbell fight.

even katsidis in losing didn't take that bad a hit.

in choosing a soft touch, cotto has no excuse, except that the margo beat down has effected him somehow.
