Mayweather Sr. Overrated or Not?

i have no disrespect for Mayweather Sr. but I think that he is just worth mentioning because he is the father of Lil Floyd. i dont discredit him, yes he is a good trainer but how many fighters has he put to being a champion? he claims lil floyd got everything from him but how can lil floyd get it from him when all those times lil floyd was fighting he was locked up and roger was the one who was with lil floyd. then he trained joan guzman a much boring replica of lil floyd but he was with him only one time. he got to train oscar but as u can see oscar dropped him too.

what u guys think? overrated or not?

i just don't like the fact that he has to trash talk other trainers saying they ain't shiet when he on the other hand doesn't have a champion on his table except for claiming he bestowed everything on lil floyd.

I think he is a very good trainer, but I do not think that he is for every fighter. With his attitude, I think only certain fighters could work with him and it could for sure ware on a fighter so there may be a point of dimishing returns.

He is pretty good at what he does though, when put with the right fighter the results can be very impressive. I think Roger is a a slightly better trainer overall for this reason, I think he can meld better with more fighters.

When it comes to defense though, I would say Mayweather Sr. is the top man.

probably but i don't see any fighters that he trained that showed the real deal.
