I don't like Nottingham. I played a gig there one time and some cavemen attacked my mate afterwards because his hair was long and they didnt like his clothes. They bust his nose up real bad. Cops came and arrested them and there was major chaos in the street. I grabbed a heavy mic stand and ran out the gig venue with it in my hand ready to clobber someone but almost got into trouble myself.
I don't know if it's changed much since the late 80's but my impression of it back then was "this place is full of neanderthals".
