I was on FaceBook just messing around and I see "Joshua Clottey" posting something about how he's fed up with boxing and wants to play soccer instead. I know that there are a lot of people with nothing better to do than hero worship and pretend to be their favorite athlete so I post "Hope that all works out for you" almost as a joke.

He IMs me, "Are you a journalist" and I say yeah, with BoxingScene.com/Boxing Digest. I tell him if he'd like to do an interview, call me. Less than 5 seconds later I get a call and guess who, Joshua Clottey.

So I did the interview, should be up tonight, he's very upset with the welterweight division and how he can't get any of the top welters to fight him. It's gonna be interesting.

Its a friggin shame that nobody wants to fight this guy. He is a high risk low reward fighter. And because he isn't popular he isn't getting fights. Even his promoters aren't helping him much. This is a guy who wants to unify and fight everyone. This guy is the most feared, not Paul williams. Clottey is very stilled and can beat anyone in the division. I can't blame the guy 4 wanting a career change. Ask him what's up with his titles and who he's going to fight next.

Somebody should fight him. Isaac is not a bad fighter, but Clottey should do a number on him. Really to me he needs to be out there making things happean for himself, not sitting around waiting to get offered big fights. Sometimes you have to make your own breaks, and he has an alphabet title so he should not have that hard a route to make it to a decent money fight.

Bob Arum has done a ****TY job promoting Josh. It is that simple. Boxing fans love a guy like Clottey. He makes good TV fights for the most part and has a personality that far exceeds Cotto or Margarito. Its just sad that he is stuck with such a bad promoter.
