It is Boxing and not street fighting at the end of the day mate... there are a lot of tactics.
I never said mayweather wasnt talented, or lacks skill. i wish he would of fought better quality guys. Im not a fan of Mayweather, hes never impressed ME! May impressed others but not me. I myself love all aspects of boxing. Im a boxing trainer and have 77 amateurs 4yrs of in Golden Gloves, 1987 golden glove champ. So i love the sport.

Fair enough... we all have our different opinions.

The competition was really getting big in 147, every opponent would've represent a real challenge for Floyd Mayweather. In 147 Mayweather was going to find some of the toughest, strongest punchers.

Stronger than others Floyd had face before. Berto, P. Williams, Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, etc. Not only can these fighters punch , but they can take more punishment than the other smaller fighters floyd was used to fighting. floyd had to pick his poison, if he didn't face any of these fighters than he would be dodging the real competition.

so do you think its fair to say, he retired to avoid them and watch closely from the side line to come out and pounce on the one with the biggest name and biggest flaws?

It was a nice win, gave him respect on that one, he was winning the fight but Hatton was roughing him up,even floyd said he was the toughest yet. and the punch was a lucky punch, what i mean by that is, ricky screwed up and floyd capitalized on it... he got lucky.... if he wouldnt it may not ended up that way. Ive gotton lucky before when someone ***ed up and they ended up on their back. you get what i mean now
