The irony here is that this thread was started by someone that has a blog about how tired he is about hearing Floyd Mayweather Jr's name.

Perhaps we should break every fighters record down like that..! My god Jones Jr. must be a straight up bum for not facing the constant nr1. if you look at like that.. Or maybe Oscar De La Hoya who lost his mayor fights against Hopkins, Trinidad, Mosley and Mayweather.. Atleast Mayweather didn't lose any of his you know..

I agree with you there's still much for him to prove, but saying he fought no one is bull****. Hatton, De La Hoya, Judah, Gatti and Coralles isn't nobodies.. Having those names on your resume looks good period and are good wins, however there is still much for him to do as I mentioned and I also think he retired way to early.

thats my biggest issue with him... i dont think he showed us how great people make him out to be.. Just because he beat a few people with names on a downward spiral in there career dont mean ****! everone for gets those 10, top 10 he ducked . so what he beat a few.

Bernard Hopkins and James Toney both in their prime pretty much renders your argument useless.

Name one fighter Floyd fought that was as legendary and as close to their prime as these two guys were?
