i for one love that ****... its entertaining, it livens up the event, it makes it much more worthwhile watching it.. on the other hand i respect guys who are classy but the **** gets annoying as fuck when they wont actually speak from the heart and tell you what they really think.... that **** is boring!

i think in order to talk **** and to be accepted by the general public (i.e. Ali) you have to be charming, somewhat humble, and represent more than one facet

Its all about respect, which is something people these days don't seem to have much of. Very few boxers can trash talk effectively and most come off looking like unintelligent, arrogant idiots when they try. It just ends up leaving a lot of boxing fans wanting fighter X to get KTFO.
