    Did Bob Arum.........

Really try to make Mayweather-Cotto happean at 147. I never saw Arum really try to make this fight happean at all. If you have info on the negotiations at 147 please let me know.

It is possible that the roadblock was Al Haymon and Floyd also, but to me niether side really tried to make the fight happean in the negotiating room and Arum only talked **** in public (which is not the best way to conduct contract negotiations). So one side getting all the blame is kind of asanine.

Now I am not saying Floyd would fight Cotto anyways, but did Arum really make his best effort to make this fight come off.

Arum tried to make this fight at 147, but wasn't so willing when they were at 140.

I know that he said he did, but I have a hard time trusting what Bob Arum says. He is a promoter to the fullest though and he will say anything he thinks that makes his fighters look better.

And I can't argue with that. Boxing promoters will always look out for their own best interests.
