Who has taken on the toughest sequence of opponents?

I was looking at Jermain Taylors record and on his way to being champ and during his time as champ he has faced almost all World class fighters.

In a row he faced Joppy, Edouard, Hopkins, Hopkins, Wright, Ouma, Spinks, Pavlik, Pavlik, Lacy and if rumours are true then Froch.

Even if you don't include Edouard or Joppy who was past it he faced 8 world class guys soon to be 9.

Is there anyone who has faced tough opposition back-to-back better than Taylors? Give me a few lists.

Yes...Bernard Hopkins. He has been facing nothing but top ten pound for pounders for a long time now.

Yeah those are pretty tough successive opponents. Good names.

Diego Corrales (RIP) has to take the cake. At least if we're talking about fighters in recent memory.

Shane Mosley. He fought Oscar De La Hoya at the right weight(147). I think Bernard fought all his quality opponents recently. Shane never ran from an opponent, he fought the best, and won most. Even in the losses to Winky he fought valiantly, unlike Trinidad.

Mayweather's opposition is a little over rated. Besides fighting Corrales and Castillo in their prime, the other guys he's faced, DLH, Gatti, were shot, and Hatton, Judah and Baldomir are not world class. Good but not great opposition.
