Indeed, I am sure that would be his stance.

It's not a good thing for Dawson, I think he wants to get this pointless rematch over with ASAP.

Cloud has stamina problems and *teddy atlas voice* MAYBE he can land one of his famous straight left hand ****! and put Tarvious Cloud out.

It would be an interesting fight, although Tarver is definitely past it.

It would tell us more about Cloud's capability.

          co-sign.

Cloud hasn't convinced me at all and I doubt he wins unless Tarver looks even worse than his last fight where I thought he put up a pretty good effort. And, as you pointed out, I'm not sure Cloud can take one of those straight lefts, a punch Tarver lands on just about everybody.

                  yeah damn that rematch clause!

**why doesn't Clout fight Clinton Woods (who recently won an IBF eliminator)

and the winner of the above fight can take on the Dawson-Tarver 2 winner.

Dawson didn't even have to take the rematch right away. He had a fight inbetween. I wonder if there is an exit clause....

Dawson vs. Tarver Reportedly Postponed, Chad Injured

The word going around boxing insiders is that IBF light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson (27-0, 17 KOs) injured his right hand in training camp and will not be able to move forward with his HBO televised rematch with Antonio Tarver (27-5, 19 KOs) on March 14th. The March date was going to be Dawson's debut on the network and the first fight for Tarver on the network since losing a 2006 decision to Bernard Hopkins. [details]
