Arum is getting WORKED if he does that. I think DiBella's trying to cash out on Cintron, but he also knows Berto is a very possible opponent. So if Cotto fights Cintron, then Berto(plausible scenario), DiBella makes double the $$$. Piece of ****.
He won't, don't worry about that. Cintron doesn't sell ice to a penguin in the middle of winter in the middle of an ice age in the middle of the antarctic...

I'm thinking it might b Clottey

It doesn't matter who sells more, it's Cotto on the eve of the PR Day Parade at MSG....Cotto vs. 120 sells out the Garden that night. And PR vs. PR is more appealing to casual fans than a fight vs. Clottey.

I have a bad feeling it's going to happen and I'm gonna lose my ****.

See I dont buy that. When has Cintron ever been popular? Quintana gets a better receptiont han Kermit does. Clottey has a belt, he hasnt been KO'ed three times, and he is a native of New York. I'd be pissed if Cintron got the title shot. Berto, Clottey, Mosley, or nobody.

nope, people are beginning to dislike Cintron and he isn't appealing to the public. Arum doesn't care about selling out the MSG and nothing else, PPV numbers matter. Also Clottey is part of Top Rank so the revenue of that event would be better for TR. Also Clottey has a belt while Cintron doesn't have 5#!+.

Oh I'm totally with you. And no, Cintron has zero following. But Cintron's following is about as big as Clottey's. And the majority of the building is going to be Puerto Rican's. It really doesn't matter who Cotto fights because Cotto will bring in the $, but to the casual fan, to the PR's who aren't huge into boxing and just wanna see Cotto fight on that day, the allure of a PR vs. PR is going to be a little more than Clottey. They've probably never heard of either, but with Cintron it could be billed as PR vs. PR.

I'll be so depressed if it's Cintron, all I will accept is unification. I will be happy with Mosley, Berto, or Clottey, so I'm with you. But I was just responding to the post above me that was saying it won't be Cintron cause he can't draw. Doesn't matter if he can draw because Cotto doesn't need help drawing on that day. But from Arum's perspective he might think PR vs. PR makes the fight bigger.

i think dibella is trying to protect berto's 0, he knows now from the collazo fight that berto is not ready.
