    My Scouting Report on Jennings...

    I just got finished watching 2 fights..Jennings V Takaloo 12 round UD Victory...And Jennings V Young Mukkley(lmao) 12 SD loss....

Jennings has a great motor and uses good movenment...he's on his bike a lot through out his fights...he likes to get in and out and tie up before he can get counterd...

He's got a pretty weak jab which he paws with and leaves out there for way to long...when he double's it up you can really notice the vulnerablity...leave that jab out there for to long and Cotto will land over top of it all night...

He's got a good straight right hand that comes in fast but hardley looks like it will stop Cotto from walking directly through it....

Like i said earlier in the post he's on his bike a lot and does not gas late...This is his best attribute...he uses great movement and comes in on angles...But I think Cotto's body work will change that fact or at least keep him in one place long enough to put in some effective punches on him...

In either fight I havent seen his chin tested...So his beard to me is still a mystery...I guess we will see on Satruday.

All in all He is a so so boxer with little pop and a tendency to stay on his bike and try to eek out wins ...He will clinch on the inside and avoid any trading in the center of the ring.

I have Cotto stopping Jennings in 8 by KO...

Jennings isnt as bad as people make out and fully motavated is pretty good.

Cotto is just on another level as breaks him down mid fight.

Thanks for this breakdown of Jennings. This is pretty much what people made him out to be.. I hope he's somewhat effective on his bike. I'm gonna be at the Garden and it will be a little lame if Cotto blasts him out in less than 4 or something..

Thanks Boom. I have seen very little of Jennings. Looking forward to seeing what he can do, even though this is obviously a huge test for him.

Word. I might be going as well. I want it to last at least 5-7 rounds. I guess it might depend on how fast Cotto jumps on him and if Jennings has anything to offer.

it might tho...Cotto has something to prove and he doesnt want to give Jennings the chance of being lucky with 1 punch through the rounds. I think hell go for his head from round one to let him feel his power and let him know he never faced anyone like him

I agree with you ...In the last interview ive been able to watch...Cotto has looked pretty pissed off wether it's with Top Rank or The Margo Debacle...or just that his first loss has him super hungry and focused...I think Jennings is going to catch the brunt off all of these situations...

                  1. Cotto Coming off his first loss...Has to prove he is still Elite and the loss has not effected him

                  2. He is pissed off at Arum for how he is handeling the Margarito situation and feels like his " Company" that he towed the line for...is abondoning him.

                  3. Cotto is planning on leaving Top Rank and needs an impressive preformance against Jennings to drum up interest in the Cotto brand again.

sounds like jenning's best strategy is to run the first 3-4 rounds. box the middle rounds. and turn up the pace in the late rounds.

he's got to wait until miguel gets tired.
