John David Jackson is one of the sport’s top trainers and is regularly involved with match-ups that shape the sport’s general landscape. Most recently he trained Carl Davis Drummond for his fight last week against Ruslan Chagaev as well as Nate Campbell for his fight this past weekend on HBO against Ali Funeka. In this interview John David graciously took the time to provide the readers of BoxingScene.com with a more detailed account of Campbell’s problems at the scales and Drummond’s fight with Chagaev. He also responds to Joan Guzman’s criticisms and calls out the winner of Pacquiao-Hatton. [details]

Nate brings nothing to the table for both Hatton and Pac. Sorry Nates career had to be this way but no way either fighter look his direction.Comment

Well Nate can be viewed as an easy target, he is getting up there in years and is moving up in weight. He is not a real big money fight by any means though, he would be more of a last resort then anything else for the winner or possibly higher up the foodchain of possible fights for the loser.
Not saying he is or should be viewed this way, but those are certainly factors that are working against Nate.Comment

Nate should fight the loser of pacquiao-hatton clash and i don't see it happening. nate value is really low for now. nate should prove himself first in LW.Comment
