How can one not know what was being put in his hands during the wrapping. Its a disgrace to the sport and Tony being able to still box is wrong.

For damn sure if Tony was with Golden Boy, Arum would make FOR CERTAIN that Tony never fights again.

By the way, is Mexico allowing just Margarito to fight there? Or are they also allowing Capetillo to train him? I actually don't mind them letting Margarito fight if he wants to stay busy and make money, but I don't think they should allow Capetillo to train at all.
If Margarito instead of Mosley would had tried to cheat on Julio Cesar Chavez JR or SR would he be allowed to fight in Mexico. Don't thinks so.

This is a disgrace to boxing and to all the great Mexican champions and boxers.

keep in mind that if he continues to fight someplace else, when the suspension year passes the comision can make reference to the fight outside of USA as an insult, and deny the license again. That might keep Margarito Banned from the USA.

It wouldn't be the first time that Mexico (or any other commission) ignores suspensions in other countries for medical or non-medical reasons. Heck, just here in the States we've seen it plenty of times...Edwin Valero licensed in Texas (even though he hasn't fought) but nowhere else, Tommy Morrisson being licensed in some states but not in others even though there was the suspision he was HIV positive.

Those cases may not be exactly the same, but you see what I'm getting at.

I'm not saying things wouldn't be different, but also keep in mind that there's no guarantee that Margarito will be in fact re-licensed after his year suspension. He'll only be allowed to re-apply at that time.

I'm sure he and Arum know the risk of electing to fight in Mexico, but if they have serious doubts that he'll get re-licensed after his suspension, Margarito may in fact choose to fight on elsewhere and make whatever money he can.

Is it right? Not exactly, but Mexico (or anywhere else) lets him, he's gonna do it.

Cotto can probably send that money figure (buy out from Arum) to De La Hoya and have him decide if he what's to pay it in order to have the rights over Cotto.
