To get Cintron-Martinez scored a draw. I wondered why he would set up 2 of his promising fighters against each other knowing one would lose and be setback. Now Martinez can go after Forrest/Santos and Cintron after Cotto/Clottey. Kermit would not have a gotten a draw against Clottey if they fought.

Don King paid the officials. He was in charge of the event. It was his date and the reason Campbell was in the main event.

Maybe King and Dibella both gave the judges money. But what would be Don's reasons for caring about Martinez-Cintron bout? Those are Lou's guys and all the risk was his there. And it was King's event but Mayorga/Santos dropped out so his only guy was Campbell.

No, it was King's date. All three fights originally had his fighters involved. If not for DiBella and Shaw finding replacements, King would have lost the date and the entire event would have went under.

Yeah I understand that, it just seems to me DiBella would care more about the Cintron-Martinez bout then King. Wanting to lineup future fights for both.
