Rated Fighters You See Major Flaws In

I wonder how many of you have seen a highly rated fighter and spotted a horrible flaw they have, which you know is gonna cost them a fight sooner or later?

Example: When I watch Guzman, sometimes I cant believe the way he plants his feet as he goes into his defensive shell. The way he stands to the side with his hips almost facing an opponent means his feet tend to be in vertical line, its very hard to move away from a series of punches. His only option is too lean away from punches rather than being able to use more movement. I keep thinking someone with a good jab right hand combo will give him fits.

This is what caused the Hatton - Pavlik arguement last night but i'll say it again.

Pavlik cannot handle lateral movement, if he can't line people up with his jab he's done.

Not just lateral movement, but someone who can dispose of his jab. Thats why I said Hopkins would be hell for pavlik, hopkins is a guy who specialised in taking away a fighters jab with a parry and or using movement to angle away from a jab and not letting a fighter get set.

      I agree with you.

Haye seems sets his feet to punch hard, when trying to land counter punchers, but sometimes when he is required to shuffle foward to land that counter punch his feet are stuck in the mud and he ends up looking off balance etc.

Haye has to be one of the worst finishers ive ever seen too, although for the most part he has gotten away with it. Did you see him against Arthur William,Enzo ? the guy i like a maniac when he gets his man hurt and he looks almost amateurish clubbing away. Haye is up there with Golota as a finisher

BTW im a fan of Haye but he does have many flaws. I guess thats what makes him so exciting.

Exactly, myself and Kayjay spent time explaining this to be people on NSB months ago. Plus Haye has problems with basic right hand leads too, Mormeck could have had him out of there early in their fight.

I know people like to pretend that Baldomir is just some lucky bum, but he actually does have more ability than people give him credit for. I mean if you watch his fights with Gatti and Judah you will see how effective he was at landing his right hand over and over again against both of them, because of how low they carry their left hands.

I remember screaming at the television during the Mormeck fight get your fcukin hands up. This was after the knockdown BTW. I honesly cant believe Haye is at HW now and he is still carrying that left hand low.

            Dude is nuts.

Arthur Abraham's turtle defense is very flawed. A really good puncher could probably break through that shell and make it difficult for Abraham to fight back. I really like Abraham, but he needs to improve defensively.
              Also:
Wlad doesn't throw the right as much as he should, Dawson and Cotto have some chin problems, Williams does not always take full advantage of his height and reach, and Hatton can't fight on the outside.
