Could Ali Funeka take over 135?

I just downloaded the fight and watched it again, and frankly im very impressed. I had it 8 rounds to 4 Funeka, which means 114-112. Anyways I think he could beat all other contenders except for maybe JMM, but then again how would Marquez fare with this 6'1 freak of nature. So what do you guys think?

Funeka is a legitimate challenge for any lightweight, but I'd pick Marquez, Diaz, and maybe some others to beat him.

I think so, he is more of a threat than Diaz ever was.

Funeka can definitely become a major player in the division, he has the skills and physical assets to be a very tough guy to beat at 135 and maybe 140 but time is ticking on him, he's already 31.

Campbell was able to hit the body at will and then head-hunt all night (obviously Funeka gave him problems, but I mean he got hit with punches he really shouldn't have been hit with), Marquez is a great body puncher, and could probably land that over-hand right. If he defends himself well, I actually see Marquez beating Funeka, they should have a card with Rafa vs Cabellero and JMM vs Funeka, brother Marquez taking on giants lol.

funeka is very dangerous for any lightweight... he needs a defensive coach to work on avoiding that overhand right though.

the only guys i think can beat him are ones who can get inside and **** the body... no lightweight can hang with funeka on the outside, not even jmm.

True, since Funeka had the reach advantage, thats why you get inside and throw the over hand right.
