Cintron was up before ten and the ref knew he wasn't hurt enough to stop it. What's so hard to understand about that. What tito vs mayorga, when mayorga goes down the very first time he's on one knee and gets up right before the ten count and he continues fighting. what does he have to get up and do 3 jumping jacks before the count of ten for it to be official? The rules state you are up once your knee's and gloves are off the canvas, which they were.
the problem is that the ref did wave it off, i didn't know the ref can change his mind like that.

I didn't take that as calling the fight over. Usually refs waive both hands over their head when they call the fight over. He was simply directing cintron to go to his corner.

dumbass if you're "halfway" between up and down (if your gloves and knees are OFF the canvas) then you are UP and you just beat the count.

If youre up the ref wont say ten. Namecalling is cute, you should try it more often.

I don't get how they don't understand this.

either way cintron should have lost this fight on points!

lol you dip**** if it's THAT close where it's a few miliseconds apart then the ref might very well say 10 but that doesn't mean you necessarily didn't beat the count if your gloves and knees were even 0.00000000000000000001 milimeters above the canvas when he starts the "T" in ten that means you beat the count.

That's the dumbest **** I've seen since the debating about this fight!..

He had the judges scorecards in his hand and called the fight a KO!..

The ref was ****** for over turning his decision cuz later he claimed he was up by 9..if that was the case how come he waved it off from there?..

instead they gave Cintron 3 minutes to re group and rest!..This was a disgraceful decision..and this is on of the MAIN REASONS boxing has lost so much appeal through out the years!

You think just because you call someone names its makes your point true? Youre the one who sounds silly, he had the cards in his hands the fight was over until they debated. If youre not in the U.S. you may be used to this stuff over in the U.K. as we saw with Miranda/Abraham I.

The point is that Cintron shouldn't have still been sitting on his ass looking at the ref complaining it was a headbutt. He should of got to his feet at the count of at least 8. You don't leave a split second to stand up and risk the fight getting called. The ref counted 10 as Cintron got up and waved the fight off. Cintron was complaining it was a butt and the ref was saying no it wasnt and waving the fight off.. The ref even went and collected the damn scorecards from the judges! Cause I seen him giving the cards back to the judges when they made the fight continue. It was BS and Martinez got robbed.

You're right.. I just watched it again and the ref did have the cards in his hands. Then once he ruled that the fight was not over he was giving the cards back to the judges..

Martinez was really robbed by a ref who felt bad for a crying kermit..

While cintron was whining around the ring, his cornerman told him to act professional.. but if he did act professional..the fight would have been over then..

I think Cintron has to cry to get his way.. he did the same thing with Margarito and Martinez.

Also that 1 pt deduction was rediculous.. Kermit bends down everytime he gets hit.. of course punches are gonna hit the back of your head with you do that...
