    Victor Ortiz vs. Devon Alexander

Wow! This would be a fascinating matchup. Its kind of like the jr. welterweight version of Kirkland and Angulo except Ortiz and Alexander are both southpaws. Ok fellas, who wins? Or, who would you say the better prospect is at this point?

I think that both are great prospects. Both have decent tests coming up in their next fights, Alexanders being a bit harder. However, if both get passed each test, I think they should both stay away from eachother for a while. As the future of the division, it'd be something to build up to. If they fought right now, I'd go with Ortiz. However, it'd be close and depending on how they look in their next outtings, it could go either way.

Oritz is terrible. He's overrated and fought noone of note. He should have taken a page of of Haye's book: call 'em out and spark 'em out. What a novice.

I disagree. I think Ortiz has fought decent competition thus far. Carlos Maussua (forgive my spelling) went nine or ten with hitman Hatton whereas Ortiz destroyed him in one. That last dude Jeffrey Resto was fairly tough and a well rounded fighter with a big amatuer backround and we all seen what Victor did to him. He also stopped the tough durable Emmanuel Clottey, something Cotto didnt even do.

I honestly am still drawn between the two. I certainly dont think either is overrated like many feel Angulo and Kirkland are.

There's a good chance Julio stops him. I still pick Kirkland, but I couldn't be surprised.

Nonetheless, Angulo seems to have a better chin than Kirkland.

just stay tuned my friend...... kirkland would destroy both rivera and quintana, two fighter that beat julio up to say the least.... although julio beat rivera, he still was almost knocked out in the 12th
