    It's Getting Old Hayemaker!

As one of Haye's most vocal and biggest supporters, I have to say that I have been nothing but disappointed with the Hayemaker in more recent times. First off even if the fight with Wladimir comes off in June, Haye will have only fought twice in 15 months by that time. This is hardly the way to shake up the heavyweight scene. Inactive or part time fighters don't become champions let alone clean up a division.

Secondly, I'm seeing a pattern with Haye that started the second he KO'd Enzo Mac.

    * Haye takes several months off for such a young and supposedly "hungry" fighter.
    * Haye announces opponent
    * Haye and Co. announces that opponent has backed out of fight due to fear, greed, fight location, etc, etc.
    * Several weeks or months pass and then Haye and Co. then announce another opponent has been found.
    * A few more weeks pass and it is announced that opponent has backed out for the same or similar reasons Haye's previous opponent did.
    * A few more weeks pass and Haye announces that despite troubles in negotiations that the fight is very close to being made.
    * Another month passes and it is then announced that once more Haye's opponent has either backed out for some mysterious reason or that they are asking for to much money.
    * Haye then finally gets a fight and then resumes inactivity.

All this "the fight is on, the fight is off" business is ridiculous and this pattern seems to repeat itself between each of his fights. I believe that Haye is a fantastic boxer and an exciting one at that but the trouble is he doesn't' ever fight anymore. Haye's a big name but only in the hardcore circles of boxing fans and only because of his loud personality, which I happen to like by the way. The trouble is all this talk has produced only one fight at heavyweight which does little to paint Haye in a positive or threatening light. A fighter with aspirations such as Haye claims to have should be fighting as often as possible. I know that Haye claims that he's not interested in a padded record and I would normally agree with that philosophy however you can't make a name for yourself or maintain a fan base by fighting so infrequently.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Haye is indeed being greedy and often asks for fight terms that are unrealistic. Sure he was the undisputed Cruiserweight Champion, but now he's merely a contender in the heavyweight division with just one fight under his belt.

Despite his Cruiserweight and heavyweight success thus far he's done nothing to build on the momentum he created. He's said in the past that he wants to be the most exciting thing in boxing since a prime Tyson, but Tyson unlike Haye, in his prime, was beating guys up on a regular basis and fought as often as he could.

As a fan I want to see Haye stop talking and start fighting. If he's lucky enough to have Wlad interested in a fight...take the fight under any reasonable terms that Wladimir sets. Love him or hate him, Klitschko is the heavyweight champion of the world and he, not Haye, should be setting the terms for the fight. If the Hayemaker is truly hungry for the championship and heavyweight domination he needs to take the fight and not try and take more than he feels he's entitled too. In fact I don't believe Haye's entitled to anything when negotiating with Wladimir. Klitschko is the bigger name and the champion and if Haye really wants the fight he'd take it knowing that he'd be able to set terms in future fights should he win that fight.

It's obvious that all the talking Haye's done and still doing might not secure him a fight with the champ. If I were Haye and meant the things I had said over the past year or so, I would be taking fights with just about anyone in the division to make as much noise as possible by plowing through other contenders and becoming the mandatory challenger.

I'd like to hear from other Haye supporters on this. What do you make of all this back and forth nonesense? Am I the only one whose tired of it?

The stumbling block from what i've heard is over UK TV revenue. Haye's team wants all of it but Wlad's team doesn't agree. Make of that what you will? but there's no solid proof that team Haye is greedy and the reason why this fight hasn't been finalised yet.

I agree that Wlad is the champ and should get the bigger share, but what's Wlads value in the UK?

I also agree that Haye needs to start getting more active again and start fighting. He's making himself look bad and all that talk needs to start getting backed up with action. How about a fight with Dimitrenko or Arreola before getting in a ring with Wlad? Beat those guys builds up his rep and makes that fight down the road with Wlad bigger.

People need to realise that when Adam Booth says 'jump!' Haye says 'How high?' he is easily lead by Booth and must of this bull**** is down to him and not Haye.

I know Adam Booth is the big reason why Haye is where he is today but Haye should do himself a favour and break away from Booth and let Golden Boy take full control.

People is the UK like exciting fighters and will pay good money to watch them. The only exciting thing about this fight is Haye. If he was not involved, I would not be watching.

Haye's people try to make it seem like Haye and Wlad will be a dream match... but he doesn't fight enough, whereas Wlad is cleaning out the scrubs(which is basically all the heavyweight division)... Haye should beat down Arreola, he should have enough talent to do that, but where from there?... luckily, he's trying to fight Wlad and not Vitali, so he has the slimmest of chances to land something... but it's not very likely he can beat Wlad, either...
