Oh Come on.. Everyone that watches boxing and watches Ricky Hattons fights knows he's a dirty fighter. His whole game plan is to pin his opponent against the rope and throw his punches then grab on the opponent with one hand and hit with the other. This way he can throw his punches but doesn't have to take them back. If hes in the middle of the ring he'll throw punches then lunge into his opponent and hold so he cant be hit. Just watch his fights. He got mad cause Cortez broke him up when he kept trying to do it to Mayweather and he said Cortez wasn't letting him fight "his fight".. Yeah well because "His fight" is not legal in boxing. You cant throw punches at your opponent then lunge in and grab your opponent to stop his offensive Ricky!

What about clinching when ur opponent gets too close? Many fighters do that but they arent called dirty fighters.
IMO Cortez broke them up too early at times and even stopping the action as they started to fight their way out of a clinch.

For me, dirty tactics are low blows, elbows, head butts and hitting on the break or after the bell. I dont think Hatton does any of that any more than any other fighter.

Im not saying he is an angel either. Just IMO not 'dirty'.

I really don't think Cortez broke them up too early. They werent doing nothing in the clinches so he broke them up. Well im saying its dirty that he throws his punches then grabs his opponent so they cant hit him back.. Thats illegal.. Its ok to clinch here and thre but when you use the clinch strictly to stop your opponents offense thats illegal and dirty in my opinion. Not saying he elbows or headbutts anyone. But he also does hold and hit alot.

I wouldnt consider Hatton a dirty fighter but when he is on the inside, there have been times when he has been holding his opponents while landing some shots. I doubt this fight will be fought on the inside anyways. Team Pacquiao will make due that they dont fight Hattons game. THATS FOR DAMN SURE.

Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao has been warned to watch out for IBO light welterweight champion Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton’s dirty tactics in their Las Vegas showdown on May 2.

The warning came from WBA featherweight champion Chris John’s Australian trainer Craig Christian.

Australian website Sports Nut quoted Christian as claiming Hatton was “one of the dirtiest fighters out there”

He said Hatton “will rough up Pacquiao or try to for sure” claiming the British fighter would use “the same brawling tactics that led to the knockout over Kostya Tzsyu.”

Although Christian said he thinks Hatto is too strong for Pacquiao at junior welterweight and even predicted a Hatton knockout victory in six rounds, the trainer said “it will be an action-packed fight because I don’t expect Pacquiao to back-off.”

Christian advised trainer Freddie Roach and Pacquiao’s handlers to expose Hatton’s dirty tactics before the fight “to put the referee on alert.”

Roach himself earlier told www.insidesports.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports that he was watching out for Hatton’s tactics and claimed that the British fighter pushes his opponents against the ropes, throws a couple of punches and then grabs so his opponent can’t hit

                  unnecessary news

Everybody knows Hatton's bag of tricks!! It is superfluous for anybody to warn Pacquioa on this, much more write it and pass it as "news"!! This article is not worth the space. I posted a comment so RN will know that he's just wasting everybody's time.... Um!

Now this is what I call breaking journalism! The inside story! Now that everyone knows how Hatton fights and, that most importantly Pac's team knows how Hatton fights, they will know exactly how to fight him and beat him.

Good stuff Ronnie, you just won the fight for Pacman! Without this story, no one would have known this and Hatton would have been able to get away with murder. Props also go to Aussie trainer C. Christain for pointing out the way Hatton fights.
