Martinez fought a good fight and deserved the win, he dominated the mid rounds.

This is perhaps the first time I've ever witnessed anyone literally live up to the saying "He had to score a knockout just to get a draw." Usually it's reserved for fighters on the road, but applicable here nevertheless.

The fight was ****, to be honest, but Martinez deserved better. Cintron looked terrible, though I presume he'll soon return to his comfort zone at 147.

I agree, worst robbery since Santa Cruz-Casamayor.

The referee was an idiot. Cintron's cut in an early round was caused by a punch, but the ref thought it was from a headbutt. The point deduction in the last round was for nothing, but cost Martinez the fight.

I have no respect for Cintron after this fight - he complained about a headbutt when he was knocked down in the 7th but the replay showed there had been none. Then in the 12th he complained about being hit on the back of the head when he hadn't really been, and the idiotic referee deducted a point.
