People are gettin ahead of themselves. Campbell isn't in JMM's league. Funeka just lost to a glorified journeyman. JMM would school his ass and probably KO him.

And I liked what I saw out of Funkea, I don't mean no disrespect, but thinking he'd be very competitive and/or win against JMM is getting way too ahead of yourself.

I don't think we all mean that Funeka is in Marquez's league, that's just insane. But there is a possibility that his sheer size and punch output would rattle Marquez, the defensive counterpuncher, just a bit.

Yea, I hear ya. I just feel like he'd get countered all day. The one thing has going for him as that he uses his height, he fights tall, unlike PWill. But JMM has good enough in and out movement to be able to reach him with a counter IMO.

Interesting fight, it's not often we see a 6'1 lightweight to even hypothesize with.

I just feel like ACCURACY can kill Funeka. There aren't many fighters as accurate as JMM right now.

The weapon that Funeka posseses that would pose a problem for JMM is the jab. Its great enough to give Funeka the space he needs to fight tall and work from the outside. But JMM is a veteran who has shown amazing ability to adapt in fights.

Also, anyone notice how Funeka lowers his head forward when in close perimeter? Marquez's uppercut is VERY underrated and the kind that can put fighters on their asses.

It wouldn't be an easy fight, but I could see JMM pulling out a KO with accurate counterpunching.

Yeah, I hear ya. I've feel comfortable in a Marquez victory, possibly even by a late TKO. But Funeka's sheer size and punch output would give me a little bit of pause.

And you're right, Funeka is insane for his weight. Is he the tallest Lightweight ever? I can't recall anybody even close to him off the top of my head.
