The ONLY reason Valuev is a champ is because he is a Don King fighter... the guy should have about 5 losses already.. Extremely piss poor example my friend.. Since 90% of boxing titles is all about politics..

I completely get where your are coming from. My example was piss-poor. I knew that as I typed it. I said it because it signifies the state of the heavies right now (post Lennox).

I'm genuinely confused as to how the Klits have this reputation as awesome fighters. Everyt ime I try to explain my reasons all I get is abuse.

I HONESTLY want to know why people hold them in such high regard, when neither of them have ever beaten a truly top quality fighter.

All I get is "Brit ***" and "Haye nuthugger", never a justification for the rep they have.

Bottom line: Klitschko doesn't need Haye. Haye knows this may be his last big payday, but it's not Klitschko's problem. The problem is we've got nobody at heavyweight who can give him or his brother a run for their money. It's pathetic. I wish Fedor would move over from MMA and cash in......

You make it sound like they haven't fought any top heavyweights, whereas they've fought the leading competition in an admittedly weak division, and in recent fights have completely dominated their opponents. They both have incredible jabs, and have learnt how to fight tall, making it very difficult for their opponents to get inside, and allowing them to dominate from the outside. Wlad is boring to watch because he's over-cautious, due to his vulnerable chin; but has good boxing skills. Vitali is less polished but more aggressive and entertaining and has an iron chin. Both have a powerful knock-out punch. The fact that there have been no other world class (in historical terms) heavyweights for them to fight is hardly their fault, but they've both fought much better heavyweights than Haye has fought. Barrett isn't even rated in the top 20.

I agree, it's weird. They should be able to fill a stadium for a heavyweight title fight like this if they promote it properly and price the tickets sensibly.
