Every once in awhile Im doing something or watching something and I think of a crazy or funny boxing quote and it just makes me smile. This sport is like no other. I was watching Jim Rome the other day when he was talking about Margarito's hand wraps and it made me think about when Hopkins use to come on there before the Tito fight. It was before Tito fought Joppy and I remember Rome asking Hopkins who he wanted to win and Hopkins replied by saying something about how Joppy is ok but I know alot of blacks who want to fight those Pureto Ricans. Then he was saying all kinds of crazy stuff about Tito's last meal being beans & rice.
Also the last episode of Hatton/Mayweather 24/7 when Roger said "add a little salt, a little pepper..". Then there was a breef pause when you thought it was over but instead he got a little loud and said "and throw his Motha ****in Ass on the grill, and watch him burn baby burn. Im gon see you soon, Motha ****a".
That **** was hilarious. Boxing would be the #1 sport in the world if they had a weekly episode with the Mayweathers, Hopkins, Jones, Toney, and so on. I remember after RJ lost to Tarver and Toney was during a interview on ESPN and he was dissin RJ. I think it was Brian Kenny who asked him why does he still always talk so bad about RJ when RJ always talks very highly of Toney all the time or atleast recently. Toney then said that he has no respect for guys who go around fighting police man & fire fighters. I think Kenny then asked him would he fight RJ again and Toney said "for what"? "He just got Put To Sleep, Face Down Butt Up".
That was so funny. I can go on and on. I thought it was funny when Toney called Vitali, Wlad's big sister or when Hopkins said that he would come to RJ's home and kill his chickens. The guy then asked him "you wouldnt really kill all of them would you" and Hopkins replied "every single last one of them".
I also remember 50 talking about Tyson one time. He talked about an old Tyson fight where before the fight Tyson said "if he lives then it doesnt count" or something like that. Do any of you remember him saying that? Which fight was it?
