Former three-division champion Marco Antonio Barrera is starting the hard work in his training camp in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he prepares for his March 14 bout with Amire Khan in Manchester, England. Barrera suffered a bad cut during a tuneup with Freudis Rojas on January 31 in Mexico, but passed all of his medical exams when a doctor took a look at him in Florida. The medicals were sent over to England and the British Boxing Board gave the meds a green light. [details]

just watched a clip of his parring partner against valero, and while he dont look as tall or built as khan he certainly gets knocked out like khan, would be intresting to see the sparring footage wi mba against this ladComment

im worried about that cut for marco, khan has very nice sharp fast punches that will split open a recent cut like the one marco had very easily...i think marco has to look for a big whack early otherwise he will lose this one on cuts- although he would be looking for that anywayComment

he is just not the same anymore and i think that cut,although less stitches it took than thought,i think it's too early to fight,wouldn't be suprised if it opened in training,,,barrera is too old,past his prime,Comment
