Glenn didn't have a rematch clause. What is so hard to figure out? Chad admits it was a tough fight and I'm sure he would say himself that it was close. I believe Dawson won by a very small margin, but that's just me. Others may see the fight a different way.

In one-sided fights or dull fights (it was both) re-match clauses are very rarely taken up. Im very surprised that tv have allowed this fight to go ahead.

If Tarver wants the fight, that's his business. I can't blame him for taking it, it may be his last chance.

TV can sell Tarver-Dawson better than Johnson-Dawson.

It's not the fact that there was no rematch clause -- we're not all dumb-asses, so please stop treating us like we are -- but a rematch COULD be arranged, despite it not being part of the original contract. It's just the right thing to do.

                I know but imagine this:

Calzaghe re-matches Jones (there was a clause it also sells) but not Hopkins despite the Hopkins fight being close and him dominating Roy.

Just imagine the crap Calzaghe would get.

Yes you're right and I hope a rematch is made.

Listen, it's unfortunate that Dawson has to fight Tarver again, believe me I would prefer the Johnson fight. But for people to come on here and criticize Chad for something he has no control over is rediculous. Hopefully the rematch gets made after Chad beats Tarver again.

There was a clause if Jones won, not Calzaghe.

Tarver has a better case for a rematch. He didn't fight horribly and he seemed live. Roy was just obviously shot and had no business in the ring with Calz.
