Is Hatton crazy enough to think he can box Pac?

Subject that intrigues me about this fight.

If Hatton comes out with a kind of steady aggression and tries to get a measure of Pac, work his way in...like he appeared to do against Paulie...he's getting a shock.

He isn't realistically going to attempt that, is he? I mean, you'd think he knows that Paulie didn't have much to hurt him with and that Pac would be a different matter altogether...but you never know with Ricky.

Sometimes I wonder about him...his perception of his own strengths and weaknesses, I mean.

Months spent under the tutelage of Mayweather Sr. notwithstanding...he's going to come out to smother and maul the **** out of Pac, isn't he?

    Isn't he?

He'll try to box his way in for the first 4 rounds probably, and then when his face starts reddening and swelling up like a ****** *****, he'll resort back to what brought him to the dance.

I agree with you. He'll do it for so long, and then start to try and maul him.

Yep. Floyd will insist on havin Hatton box, despite that not bein his best asset. When it's clearly failin to be effective Hatton will get down to his usual business.

Paco's gonna whoop on him period. BUT i'll tell you what, Hatton's gonna give it everything's he's got. Hatton ain't a punk like that. Hatton's always ready to fight. He'd rather get knocked out than quit on the stool. Ya gotta respect that.

But in the end, it'll be Paco who's left standing. Hatton's dope though, don't get me wrong.

Anybody else interested as to what ol' pop Mayweather's sermon will be in the corner if it becomes clear after a few rounds that an adjustment (or a backslide) is required?

Can anyone see him telling Hatton to forget about jabbing his way in and just "hug the **** out that lil' mufucka"? Or just "keep doing what you're doing" (ie. attempting to work with the fundamentals of boxing, jab, lateral movement, and eating crazy leather for his trouble)?

Or at that point, will Ricky ignore Floyd Sr.'s counsel whatever and just do what he knows works for him?

it aint boxing what hatton does, he comes in with full momentum behind everything, he leaps around and feints, hes a proper live wire.. its hard to just stand in the center of the ring and stand your ground, when pac throws punches hes gonna get the aftermath of hatton holding and body shots

I reckon he is going to try and have a real go at pacman in the first few rounds just to let him know he is in a fight and to see if pacman can hold up at the weight, possibly because conventional wisdom would say that he would try and feel him out for a while.I think this is going to be a great fight with both fighters changing their tactics regularly throughout.I think it will be a war of attrition ending somewhere around 9,10 or 11 with Hatton winning.I just hope that there are no cuts or injuries because if this fight lives up to its potential it could be one for the ages.
