  • "How's the punch? How's the punch?"

    He knew alright, he knew.

I hope Cotto beats the crap out of Mosely for taking all the credit for exposing Margarito and then rematches Margarito and beats the crap out of him in a winner takes all of the purse fight.

Although I like Mosely he needs to retire imo. He's on punch-drunk drive.

    (No Cotto nuthugger)

I don't think that meant ****. I think Capetillo was referring to Cotto's punch and whether Tony felt he could take it.

I think Marg is guilty as ****, but I don't think that's evidence of anything, people blew that wayyyy out of proportion.

Also it was translated so it may have gone wrong there.

I definitely think Margarito has been cheating a while now though. Perhaps years.

Credit rightfully earned. What's with you Cotto fans who think Mosley owes Cotto something for whooping Marg? Mosley did everything Cotto didn't do and has his own background fighting against the Mexican style. He knew he was knocking Marg out well before the fight, and even called it. It's all of us that were two steps behind.

Cotto was taking plaster punches so couln't keep up his sustained beating on Margarito.

I just want to see the rematch that's all. It was a great fight last time and Cotto was exposing Mosely's lack of reactions anymore with his bombs.

This is the video ya'll are talkin about:

The corner man is asking him "How are the punches?" Capetillo tells him "Don't worry about the punches"

It can be taken either way, but not enough evidence to show he actually had the plaster in the gloves, though I do think he did.

You gotta give Mosley his due, he pressured the pressure fighter and won.

Cotto IMO would beat Margarito in a rematch. Cotto should and would be prepared the 2nd time around with a better game plan. Plus, without the plastered wraps, who knows how much better Cotto can take Marg's punches (hence why the 1st fight IMO is still tainted)

That has nothing to do with why he lost. Cotto didn't know how to clinch and was resting a bunch on the ropes playing into the pressure. And despite what happened in the locker room, Mosley still fought Margarito with respect for his power regardless of the wrap issue and said post fight that Tony's body shots were good. Be mad at Cotto for not studying his opponent and being versed in basic tactics of a fight, not Shane. Cotto's got the low blow down, but he's got to learn how to clinch out of a tough spot as well.

Shane Mosely held as much as Ricky Hatton in the fight. I was disgusted.

Well, that's a big part as to why only Williams and Mosley have wins over the guy in recent years.
