Will Margarito ever be a champion again?

The fact that he is suspended for a year doesn't really destroy him as a fighter, but I wonder if he'll ever be at the top ever again.

He should not be allowed anywhere near a boxing ring again unless its as a spectator.

I dont think any of the top dawgs would give him a chance anymore.

But he could become the best champ in Mexico!!!!

Word on the street is that Margo is only suspended in California. That's not so bad. But i don't know if the promoters want to fcuk wit him now that he has a rep.

Personally, i think his reign on the top is over. Yeah sure he'll box, but i don't think he's going to get the opportunities he's had in the past couple years.

Whether he wins or not is one thing... but Toni will have a title fight in 2010. He'll just have to jump through some extra hoops when it comes to fight preparation and hand wrapping. They'll watch him like a hawk.

lol If he can still fight, he'll get a shot. I don't get why no other fighter wouldn't fight him, if anything they want to whip his ass. I'm surprised Cotto and Cintron aren't askin for rematches in Mexico under the terms they get to watch him wrap his hands.

Exactly... Cintron and Cotto both have other opportunities at the moment, but believe me, in time they will want revenge. Cotto may get it. Cintron will lose a third time!

Depending how thick that pad was in Tony's gloves, I think he gets by both of them again.

I mean Tony was a slow ass puncher, so if the pad wasn't that thick, how can the pad underneath his glove even be exploited enough if he cant generate enough speed? I mean he naturally looks like a heavy hitter just by the leverage he gets. Regardless, cheating is cheating. I just went from liking Margarito more then De La Hoya back to liking Oscar more then Margarito. I mean Tony and his camp ****ed up in a major way.

But I'm not entirely convinced that his pad made this much impact. I wish we could see how thick it was.

The pictures that are available are not very good quality, and no one is for sure if they are authentic, or if some kid took them in his basement and plastered them on the internet as real. Anyways, I don't think the idea was to put rocks in someone hands that would cause a one punch knockout... I think it was only meant to cause a very tiny advantage... one that would add up after you threw 1,000 punches and landed 45% of them.

Thats a good point, but you gotta wonder how those numbers would effect an opposing fighter without those pad's with that same exact leverage he's always gettin out of his shots. I just can't see it making that much of a difference if the pads aren't that thick.

All in all, Tony better be 100% completely focused on vindicating himself. Win or lose, he also better be mentally prepared for both victory and defeat.
