    Can Williams Hang With The Big Boys At MW?

    What do you think? Do you think he can hang with Pavlik and or Abraham. I swear that this Winky fight has alot to do with it. Its a big name for some solid money, and it gives them a good test to see if Williams can hang with the best at MW without having to fight a true hard MW. If Williams wins impressivley then I could really see those Palik negotiations coming back on and foreal this time, e****ally considering how Hopkins totally outboxed him and how Williams already beat a similar type guy in Margarito with plaster in

    There's no one that really impresses me in MW other than Abraham and Pavlik, they would both destroy Williams IMO. Other than those 2 the division is pretty weak.

        Williams would wipe the floor with Pavlik.

        Shame Pavlik has alreayd realised this and made a blatent duck of the Punisher to take on 'easy game' in a 48 year old man in Hopkins.

        .. And he STILL got his as kicked.

        Williams would show Pavlik all the angles and an unbelieveable work rate. I think Pavlik's corner would throw the towel in... no joke.

          As of right now I would favor Williams over Pavlik. As for Abraham, I'm not so sure. We need to wait and see how the Winky fight goes, which I agree is a test for Williams at 160. If he does well, he'll go after a title, if he does poorly, best believe he stick around at 154 and 147.

            Yeah, I'd say Paul can hold his own against the middle's. He's tall, fast, has good reach, and he's hungry for success. I'd also say Paul beats Pavlik easily.

              His chin has been impressive but he's never been in there with a huge puncher. If his chin is just as sturdy at MW, I think he'd beat Pavlik.

              Abraham is a whole other animal though.

                I'm right there with ya'. I'm picking Williams in this one, but only because I think Winky is probably no longer anywhere near as good as he used to be. But alot depends on what the fight looks like;

                If Williams wins a tepid decision over an obviously way-diminished Winky, I'll keep thinking that Pav or AA cleans his clock.

                On the other hand, if Pdub comes out and totally dominates a pretty good Winky, imo, he'll have to be considered a legit championship threat @ 160.

                I'm lookin' forward to this one.

                  the only reason some of you are saying that paul can beat pavlik s because of pavlik-hopkins. please dont compare williams to hopkins. what hopkins did that night, williams would never do. at 160, pavlik beats williams.
