Lou Del Valle would of knocked Jones out cold, if he had been fighting Jones post Ruiz. Ive seen the knockdown before, but i have the fight on my computer now and i was just watching it in more detail, it was a very hard shot that put Jones down and Jones whilst obviously a little hurt was up straight away didn't appear to be on rubbery legs. Ive seen Jones take good shots off Victor Levine in the amateurs too and i can honestly say i dont think he had a glass jaw. I think Jones problems stem from losing so much muscle and weight etc.

I think it was actually more to do with the wetspot Roy Jones Jr slipped on. But Lou Del Valle was Roy Jones Jr's sparring partner for along time, so he learnt alot about Roy Jones Jr and knew his mistakes.Lou Del Valle would of knocked Jones out cold, if he had been fighting Jones post Ruiz. But it was a decent punch and i think Roy Jones Jr, was a little hurt because he didn't fight back at that point. But he showed good concentration and good survival instinct's to survive that little crisis.Comment
