i love berto and cotto but berto aint ready for that.... i would like to see berto fight clottey or the winner or quintana vs judah (if that fight goes through). a rematch between mosley and cotto in NY makes tha most sense for me.

p.s. cotto is a ***in beast

I'm more interested in Cotto - Mosley 2 at this stage.

Berto is not ready for Cotto yet.

I'm not sure Berto is ready for that either but Clottey may be an even tougher fight for Berto. With Cotto it would be good because both guys can hurt each other. I have never seen Clottey even close to being hurt. He would apply pressure and would present problems for anyone.

I like Margarito/Clottey II in Mexico, Mosley/Cotto II and Berto/Collazo better.

if cotto takes on berto, thats probably the worse scenario... why is cotto gonna wail on a green boxer like berto for???

            I would even prefer Clotty/Cotto over Cotto/berto

              i know..

but .. even that clottey its a more solid opponent... berto will bring more money for cotto.... the thing is that its more easy for arum to put cotto vs clottey. and make a lot more for his pocket...

but he will be risking his cashcow (again) like he did with margie.... cos clottey aint no walk in the park.... and i dont think hes gonna make the same mistake twice....

about cotto fighting in mexico.. arum is just fronting.. .wait for 4 month... im sure he will leave behind margie and forget about him

margie vs clottey @ mexico.. i know josh will go there with no problem

I think Cotto will have much more trouble with Berto than he would Clottey. Cotto has trouble with aggression and speed. While Berto is still green, his natural talents are phenomenal.

Clottey just doesn't throw enough...Cotto won't stop Clottey, but he'll win a clear decision.

I think Berto vs. Cotto would be a good match. A good confidence builder for Cotto and a good test for Berto. I think Cotto would win, but it will also push Berto. I like Berto, but i do understand what people are saying that he's protected. Berto hasn't been pushed yet.

After the Margo beating, i think Cotto will be able to bounce back from it. Especially the whole plaster controversy thing.

                      I totally agree.

I don't think that, with Margarito out for a year, and Pacquiao facing Hatton, the biggest money event out there for Cotto, is Mosley even if he has to split 50-50.
Even if he goes 70-30 with Clottey or Berto, those fight will not generate the hype needed for sell out crowds and PPV revenue as a fight with Mosley.

However after that you can probably face the winner of Pacquiao-Hatton and Cotto-Mosley lets say by October or November and that would be the best, sold out fight of the year. That's a good fight for the boxing fans also due to the style of these 4 warriors.

Having said that, probably Arum is taking in consideration the risk-money factor. Because it's riskier for Cotto (and Arum, obviously), in my humble opinion, the Cotto-Mosley fight than a Cotto-Berto or Clottey.

Arum is probably thinking on building up a fight at the end of the year with Mosley, were Cotto and Mosely, can probably step in to the ring coming from 2 "important" victories, which help the expectation for them in a rematch and generate bigger revenue than fighting in June.

Remember that on an Eve of the Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York, Cotto will fill the Madison Square Garden with a number 25 rank boxer and you know that Arum knows that.
