I think we can agree that losing to Hopkins 2 divisions higher and losing to Carlos Baldomir at your weight are two different things.
Thats not what haters and writers said, the only thing they made a point of saying is that Zab was coming off a loss, Raphael said it and countless others then posters followed with the rhetoric. Its a blatant dislike of Floyd, never have I even heard that before with another fighter.

I don't know what other writers say but I say that they are two different scenarios. There are other fights you can make your point with, I just can't see it with your example.
Judah losing to Baldomir is the same as Pavlik losing to Rubio.
I doubt anyone would give Pavlik's next opponent much credit for beating him if Pavlik were coming off a loss to Rubio.
Imagine if Paul Williams were to move up and beat Pavlik (coming off a loss to Rubio) and then Rubio for the MW title while avoiding the likes of Abraham. It wouldn't be such a big deal.
well, Zab's loss to Baldomir was pretty embarressing. If Pavlik lost to a Baldomir level opponent, I think his stock as a fighter would go flying off a cliff, dont you?
Rubio's actually not that bad. nothing special, but hes a legitimate top guy in the division, even if the division is pretty terrible at the moment.
You guys are still missing the point, forget about the Baldomir fight, the statement that was consensus amongst all haters is that Zab was coming off a loss regardless of who he lost to, that was even brought up but the fight that Floyd was fighting Zab after he loss as if Zab was in this total depressed mode and no way he could rebound or as if he hadnt lost before and won the next fight, again it was all a way to discredit a Floyd victory.
Had Zab not lost to Baldy I guarantee he wouldnt have been as focused and would have gotten beat by Floyd even worse than he did.

I don't know. Rubio is probably a top 10 ranked middleweight but the division outside of the top 5 is very weak.
He has never impressed me at all and I don't see him lasting long against Pavlik.

The point everyone made was that Judah was coming off a loss to Baldomir, not just coming off a loss. When you lose to a Carlos Baldomir, your career needs serious re-evaluation.
If Judah had lost to a great light middleweight/middleweight, he would've still kept his titles like Pavlik and it wouldn't have been as bad.
