    Quote:
Inspector Che Guevara testified in three years and 150 hand wraps he had never seen such a pad.

"It was sweat-soaked, thinner and harder in certain areas, not hard as a rock, but firm and hard," Guevara said, adding it had a stain "like old blood" on it. "It was not flexible. It was very firm."
Since it wasn't used it didn't get harder than it would have gotten.

LETS LOOK AT IT THIS WAY, YOU HARVARD GRADS. SSM AND COTTO BOTH LANDED FLUSH RIGHT HANDS AT WILL IN THE FIRST 6 ROUNDS, IN THEIR FIGHTS WITH MARGARITO, WHILE TONY'S OUTPUT WAS NOT DOING TOO GOOD IN EITHER FIGHT. COTTO GETS BUSTED UP, BLOODIED, CUT AND BEATEN, WHILE SSM CONTINUALLY BREAKS TONY DOWN AND KO'S HIM SUFFERING NO ILL CUTS OR EVEN SWELLING ON HIS FACE!!! AND COTTO HITS HARDER THAN SSM!!!!! = PARIS OF PLASTER...100X35...

They weren't entirely wet, but they had a blood stain? Did he use this in his previous fights or not. If he did then they should be really hard, kind of contradicts itself, I don't think he used those in the Cotto fight, at the same time, who knows?

if it is plaster or something hard,i doubt he used it against cotto since it would of probably done a lot more damage compared to what margarito did to him, cotto probably would have broken something, his nose was pretty bad but not what plaster could of done, just my opinion

Just so there's no confusion... there is no substance in the world that gets hard when wet... After the chemical reaction, the water in plaster must be allowed to openly evaporate. You can mix plaster and water (and this is a cheap expirement everyone can do if you are very very bored) and then put it into any COMPLETELY air tight container (we used an empty paint can when I was like 10 years old and hammered the lid on very tight)... You'll see, it doesn't set. Now boxing gloves aren't air tight, but with a sweaty hand filling them, constant punching, and the fact that the bout would only last a maximum of 48 minutes, theres just no way it would set. Not even if we fought 60 round fights...

If Capetillo was using plaster, he's an idiot for not letting them set over night, or over a couple of nights... if they were wet as he was trying to place them in the gloves, there's just no way.

Dude educate yourself. Romans had cement that would harden under-water without having to "air out" as you say. We have it today also it's called hydraulic cement.

Hydraulic plaster can also by definition harden under water. Educate yourself please before you start spewing misinformation.
