    Johnny Tapia arrested

    Former five-time world champion Johnny Tapia has been arrested on a probation violation on felony drug charges. Probation and parole officers found the former champ at his home yesterday in possession of a controlled substance. Last April, Tapia pled guilty to felony drug charges and was sentenced to probation. He is being held at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center until he appears before a judge. — Chris Cozzone


    so sad. poor tapia...... his party privileges have been revoked.

              I'm all about giving people second chances, but...

              This guy should probably just get the electric chair. He is no good for the world.

                          Sad how they call him "former 5 time world champ" Johnny Tapia. As if boxing needed another black mark on it's record. Can't just be a random scumbag, has to be a former 5 time world champion boxer and scumbag.

                              He could win world titles, but he can't beat drugs.
                              What a shame..

                                  Johnny Tapia is going through a lot of emotional pain. I bet he hasn't recovered from the loss of his brother-in-law and nephew.
